Always perform a tech inspection on your car before putting it on the trailer. The form is available on the Rally America page. We were ready to put the Mustang on the trailer so checked the lights, horn, extinguishers etc. All looked good until I checked the belts. This is only the 3rd year we have run this car and we bought FIA belts so they should be fine right? Wrong, my belts were made in '03 and expired at the end of 2008. Juanita's were made in '04 so they are good through this year. Off to Vick Racing tomorrow for a new set of belts.

That reminds me, I need to check the lights...my turn signals like to burn out regularly.
I know the horn works, I kept beeping it yesterday with my shoulder when I was fixing my clutch pedal.

"What's that Oooga sound? Is a Model T bearing down on us?"
"No, that's just Chad, my neighbor, fixing his clutch."

I had pre sno*drift my left side headlight and turnsignal both die on me DURING the tow. They all worked before I loaded the car and refused to work when I got there.

That's pretty standard for a VW.

Never had that happen to me, but maybe it's cuz I don't live in rust country.
I haven't had that problem either and I used to live in rust country. Maybe it's because the cars that I own were designed in Japan, the Mecca of electronics. J/K guys, my mom is a huge V-dub fan and I admit that I like their cars.
