Hi All,

Another Head & Neck Restraint device has been SFI 38.1 certified.

The Hutchins Hybrid Pro is the fifth H&NR created by Safety Solutions to receive the 38.1 certification. Safety Solutions now manufactures 5 of the 8 total SFI 38.1 certified H&NRs.

I hope to have a full press release and some images available in the coming days.

Hi All,

Just a quick update here. :)

More information is now available at this link, http://www.safetysolutionsracing.com/wordpress/?cat=24 .

Big deal about Pro is that no backpad is required and it is FIA Homologated along with all other Hybrid models.

New Hybrid units with a FIA Sticker will not be available for shipment until the end of January at the soonest. I will post in the Safe Drives vendor forum as soon as they are available.

Hybrid Pro "Rage" will not be available until the end of March at the soonest.

FIA Homologation is HUGE!!! Although I didn't see anything on the FIA site yet and the Hybrid Pro description only says "FIA Institute Approved", it looks like this is the first device to get FIA Certification other than the HANS.

If this is true, You should start a separate thread and really push the fact that these devices are FIA approved and therefore valid in CARS next year! The lack of FIA Homologation is a real sticking point for many of us when looking at HNR devices.

Thanks for the post Tim. It is a big deal and I will post when the devices are available with the FIA Sticker.

I talked to and heard / saw a public report at the SAE Motorsports Conferance last month that the Hybrid H&NRs were to be FIA Homologated in January 2009. Mike Hurst was also in the room.

I personaly knew about the the Hybrid passing all FIA testing quite a while ago but nothing was officially posted until now.
