According to Hans as of 2 min. ago I can place orders on the 2nd of Jan. They are aware of our schedule and tell me that they will try to have some available for Sno*Drift.

Just curious: the HANS press release said lots about how it provides the same safety as the other HANS devices, but nothing about certification. Is the HANS Sport FIA certified?

What I have been told it will have the same certification as the other models. Hans would not bring something that did not perform as well as the others.

Doug is right. The new Sport Series is still a HANS Device. You will not lose any performance with it. It is about a pound heavier than what is available now but you will not notice much of a difference on your shoulders. It is SFI certified now. It will be FIA certified soon.

If the FIA certification is not in place by the time the initial units are shipped in January, would those units be able to be "retrofitted" with the FIA certification label?

There will be a method for "retrofitting" a FIA cert on any that are ordered before that may happen.

I have been told that if you recieve a Sport without the FIA cert sticker that we can mail you one when the cert comes through.
