So, I notice Eric Burmister has a new team mate at STPR. Does anyone know how to tell which people have been selected by the manufactureres to score points?
I believe Mr. Unser is now running an older Subaru WRX STI in the Open Class.

Kurt had listed the nominated drivers for the first event or two of the year in his press releases -- which I liked. I haven't paid enough attention to know if this info has been dropped (I might just have overlooked it).
The teams have been consistent for the past few events:
Hyn: Chionere & Higgins
Sub: Lovell & Lagemann
Mits: Millen & Lauchlin
Mazda: Burmiester
Hope this helps.

Correct.
They are testing with the Subie today and if all goes well, it'll be the Impreza.

Testing? Where? Inquiring minds want to know.

Perhaps Subaru should start listing David Higgins :-)

Surely some place far away from the stages and completely legal ;)
See you all tomorrow!
Thanks,
Alex
I believe they test where they hold the DC regions' Rally-X series.
Lancia037rally would know ;)
Orange, VA?

Really? I haven't heard anything on the DC mailing list.
Anyway, YOUR the one who should know, YOUR his co-driver :) *sheesh*
Only problem is, the roads there are the exact opposite of STPR roads, fastest I got up to there was 55-60 up in 3rd gear (on the RallyX course)
Thanks,
Alex

The Rallysport Protege is not a factory support vehicle. Our team is a factory support team...notice I did not say a "works" team. At any rate, we are the points gatherers for Mazda's G2 manufacturer effort. I was happy to talk a bit with Sumit both at STPR and in the past and I am glad to see more people building Proteges. They are very capable cars and there are a lot of good parts available for them. Also, Mazda has a great contingency program for them.
