It must have been pretty recent because I used to be quite displeased with how bad the sat views were.
But I was checking out the area today and was amazed, and am having fun visually finding landmarks and whatnot.

only rally fans can recognize a section of road that quickly.
i love the videos from there when there is a bit of water in the apexes on that section.

Anyone who has ever raced over that piece of road couldn't help but know it straight away - from whichever angle it's depicted.

It is very possible that section of road is part of the course for this weekend's Shooting Star Rally. You might even get to run it twice!!!!! I'll never tell.
We are still VERY short on workers so please come out and help!

KICK A$$!!!!!!!!!!
You don't have to be a competitor to know that section straight away. I got that giddy feeling the first time I drove over it to my marshal location.

That is the "Thru the lake" corner. I would recognize that one anywhere!!
Mark Larson absolutely loves that corner. I still think getting a camera crew out in a boat at sunset when the cars go through there some year would some awesome pics!!
Oh yeah, bannering crews will be meeting by registration around 9:30am and heading out around 10-10:30am on friday morning.
Sorry, couldn't resist!!

Damn straight. That's my favorite section of road, anywhere.
Rumor has it I might have had some influence in the design of the Shooting Star course too...
Good that they finally updated the sat imagery for the area, I've been waiting for that for years too.
