Anybody have any information??? Roads??? Entry Fee??? Stage Miles???

I am thinking VERY VERY seriously about trying this rally thing out. I have been volunteering for 11 years now. I USED TO HAVE good reasons not to race. Entry fees too high, no payout, too far to travel, etc. I have no excuses to not try this event and see if it is something I am interested in investing in further. So if there is anybody who can help me out, just send me a pm or post on this thread.

Car or truck rental also would be needed.

Also, PM me. I have a rental that would work great for this, 87 vw gti. I will not be able to compete but the car should. I live here in Houghton as well and the car is plenty quick to place well and very easy to drive and control, heck we won the first day of LSPR '06 in G2 with it!

Event is not a secret just new. It will be a C1 event run in, and around?, the moyel gravel pits. It will be the end of June (I believe) maybe the 26th... PM Carl he is way smarter then me. Get everyone and their mother because it is going to be AWSOME!

Info for the event hasnt been officially released and I'm not going to post anything public about it until I know for sure all my info is correct and I get the go ahead from the organizer. So if you want to know what I know, PM me, but remember that I may be wrong!

So, somebody knows and is planing something (and no, it's not me).

JB also put a line about it in the Rally America Announcements forum, but he piggybacked it on my Headwaters post, so it didn't draw as much attention as it might have.

Ok. Everybody can settle down now :p I gots da scoop.

Date: June 23rd

Headquarters is going to be either at the Country Inn and Suites or the Copper Country Mall. Registration and tech inspection will be in the same spot.

Registration and tech will open at 8am.

Entry fee is $85.

There will be a quick parade lap/single pass recce at noon, hopefully. I guess we have to get some allowance for that to happen, but Scott's working on it. So if that works you'll be free to make your own notes in addition/place of the supplied tulip route book.

FCO is planned around 1pm. So there wont be a million hours to do the recce thing.

Last car in will be between 5-6pm-ish.

There will be about 8 stages.

Mileage should be between 12-20 miles.

1 service after 4 stages.
