We are pretty well-versed in the things people don't like about ss.com but let's turn the tables since we don't often hear the positives.

What things do you LIKE about SpecialStage.com? :)

I think you guys have created the premier North American rally site.
I also appreciate that you are not quick to ban the trouble makers and winers as is so common on internet forums these days.
Good to let even the jerks have their say, It makes things more interesting.
It would be even better if some of the more famous rally people would participate some however.

If you asked this a few days ago I would have said I love that there is no menu stuff taking up screen real estate other than for the forum menus... but now you have added that crap, so I can't say that now :-)

I can applaud you guys being much less political than you were a few years ago. SS started almost as a cheerleading section for SCCA rally, but you guys have mellowed in your old age and realized the error of your ways ;-)

Funny, I link the links on the left side. Each to their own.

I like the fact that I can read everyones opinion. Jens is a perfect example. I may not like what he says, but I defend his right to say it. More than anything else, I applaud the way the mods allow reasonable debate to take place. Many threads lead to positive ideas and discussion, some of which actually end in use! How many sites can say that?

I would not want to see any more sections being added though. There some that are just not being used and could be removed, Canada East being an example.

Keep up the good work, the balanced approach to moderating the forums and I will be back here everyday.

P.S. I thought it was cool that it was posted who the big time visitors were to the site like we saw about 6-8 months ago

I added the left nav as an experiment few days ago. I did not like the fact that there was no way to navigate to the other parts of the site. Even though there is not much content elsewhere, but we are trying to work on that. We always got a lot of feedback on the event calendar as well, seems to be a decent cross reference for people while reading about an event a post.

I will change the skin on the site/forums, this is the defaul and it is also used by RA, so to avoid any confusion I will swap out the colors.

any prefered color schemes?

red, black ......

The biggest recent improvement to ss.com has been the formation of Rally Anarchy which has given the loonies their own bin to play in.

Keep up the good work.

Pretty simple. Just the fact that it's there. A common place to communicate and interact (I believe the pc term is network).

are you kidding? SS is where I spend an hour a day, every single day of my life!
- I travel a lot, so nice to have things categorized by region/subject.
- I'm new driver so nice to be able to target what I want to know about. - I brag about my fabulous team of folks so love that i can post easily, and have pictures.
- I like the look, formatting, SS is terrific.

two things I might change:
1-move main menu to top of screen rather than on the left, so (some of us) don't have to scan right to read the rest.
2-I'd like the option of find WHO posters behind the weird user names are. but could be some folks don't want that...

thanks so much for providing SS as a forum for all of us.

It's an entirely diffrent site. Doug was speaking in a somewhat ironic fashion. Addition by subtraction and all that.
