Jason and Todd should stop working on Todd's car for five minutes, bring Jason's ride up and sort out the issues on a proper testing track. That's what I think anyway.

Well, convince them of that.

I try and try and try... they think its going to be like the track and PMI that we used for rally sprints. They don't believe how nice CORE is. Everyone else needs to convince them.

Smooth, fast, fun, close, safe, cheap. Erik and I did 30 miles in his car in the very short time we were there before the tranny blew. Maybe they're afraid they'll break something. I've heard that argument a few times from other people, and while it's valid as then you have to replace stuff, at the same time, it's better to have it happen close to home and when you just paid $20 to drive, than to have it happen 1200 miles away at and event you just paid $2000 or more to attend. I'm still deciding on if I'm going to bring the Merkur out. The probability of having to be towed back is fairly high everytime I drive that car it feels like.

I am not afraid to break anything. I am just fighting the haltech. I have a ton of noise in the crank and cam sensors, I bought a new filter from haltech and it claned up some but it won't run over 3000 rpm. So I may be done racing until I can afford a new enginge management system.

Funny thing I found out recently. Many of the companies, such as Motec, Link, and a few others, were former employees of Haltech that left and started their own companies focusing on their own projects.
I've been looking into Megasquirt alot lately. Kind juky looking stuff, but seems to get the job done on quite a few vehicles and dirt cheap.

Wow, that sounds VERY familiar. I am pretty sure Erik encountered some of the very same problems you had (noise in the sensors). You may want to contact him if you haven't already to see exactly how he fixed it. I know he got a firmware upgrade from Haltech that he said helped out a lot but I think there was more to it.

the noise issue came up the with the first motor and we got it taken care of, Then that motor blew up real good. So now we went from version 4 to us 2002 wrx and the noise was even worse. I got the adapter from haltech, now it runs. Just need to fine tune.

I am not lying, you do have work that needs to be done down in Pue town.

AJ- I don't have time to learn a new language, but I may be able to spit the notes out in a choppy Italian with terrible spanish like pronunciation. That would throw him off pretty good.
Todd- my free labor will cost you this time. Don't try to reward me with a "A night on the town in Pueblo" again. I would rather drink my new castle from a GLASS bottle than a plastic cup.
And seriously, my sweater, I left it on the desk in the garage, did you get your greasy mits all over it, cause it's white and wool?

ACAI

05-03-2006, 06:36 PM
What the heck is ACAI?
I have a few ideas...
rebecca
05-03-2006, 07:46 PM
It's a secret society of co-drivers. Maybe? I don't know ask AJ, I am not sure if I am allowed to say. He is the creator and founder of the association seeing how he has sat in the silly seat in more wrecked cars than I can remember.
AJ - you better handle this one, I am not sure if the first rule about ACAI is don't talk about ACAI? I don't want to get kicked out of the ASSociation. Or is it the first rule of WRC shinanigans, don't talk about WRC shinanigans... oh, I am so confused.

It's shame you don't live closer as I could always do with some extra help with rebuilding the Legacy. The good thing is if you lost your sweater I could always knit another at work! Ha Ha

Could you knit Mark a sweater with a extreme vagina close up?
That would be some intesting knitting. So would it be called a sweater, jumper or a pull over?

HAWHAWHAWHAWHAW!!!!!!
It's little lucas Rebecca
I've knitted some odd stuff in the past, but a Tat? and what Grant speaks of, That's new stuff for me! Any firm orders? Ha Ha I thought about a knitted engine for the Legacy as it would be quicker than building it.
Just off the topic slightly. I ordered pistons from Subaru. They arrived yesterday without rings! Called Subaru, 'Oh you only asked for the pistons' .... not much good without the rings are they. Everytime I've ordered pistons in the past they've come with rings. Subaru???? anyway more cost...busking looks an option..

if i had one of those, i'ld throw it in the drier, then slip into it, it'ld be all warm and soft....
most action i'ld get in months and months and months.... that's just depressing.

Who is little stephanie?
granthughes
05-06-2006, 10:00 AM
You don't know who little Stephanie is? She's as of yet to be conceived new version of little Lucas. And the source of the worst/most wrong pick up line ever. God I can't wait for the hill climb season to start. I'm going to buy Mark one of those stretchy things that hold his glasses on though for this year though.
