Subaru has two brand new cars, one of them just cleared customs yesterday, and they are rockets. The weak link may be the Pirellis. When you have lots of horse power and very hot surface temperatures, the stuff in the middle is under a lot of stress. Tires were shredding after very few miles. Quick, somebody bring in the Silverstones!

The Air Force Reserve Focus was last seen on a tow rope headed to a local radiator shop. Somebody stuffed a tree branch through the body work and through the radiator on their first hot lap. Must have been a Sasquatch.

Mitsubishi is laying low until tomorrow.

If you are coming out to spectate, bring water, lots of water. It was very hot again today, I stomped around the practice stage and found lots of flamable stuff. The vine maples are red, the ferns are brown, only the little wild black berries seem to be doing well. Anybody shows up to spectate in flip flops and shorts will bleed to death before the stage finishes.

Bulletin: Harvesting little wild black berries from your rally car is not authorized, any berries harvested during the event must be returned to Simpson Resources in pie form.

Did I remind you to bring water?

Jim
