View Full Version : DooWop Sprints - Who's Going ???

I am planning on being there. Not sure in which capacity just yet, however.

If we can get the car running this weekend and have enough time to break in the new engine and tweak the Autronic a bit, I'd really like to run. However, if we can't get enough break-in miles on it by next weekend, I'll have to wait for the 'regular' DooWops to debut the car.

Fortunately, we *DID* find the cause of all of our problems and everything is now the way it is supposed to be(except my account balance)

Who is planning on running the event, or at least attending ???

I'd absolutely love to go, but I dunno if my car is legal anymore. Gotta get it annualled. Not even sure who does this at this point...

I mailed my entry last week, so I am in.

Anyone know if Liability insurance is required for the competition vehicle for this event? Seeing as it is held on private land with no other traffic.

Over your way, it's Dave LaTourette in North Bend (dave@davesport.com)

Over my way, it's Dave Clark and Dennis Chizma

Liability insurance IS required, this is PUBLIC land (Port of Grays Harbor) with no traffic.

Well, Davesport annualled the car, and he thinks it'll pass for the sprint, and probably doo wop as well. So cool, those are the ones I wanna run in anyhow. So if nothing else breaks... and if I can find a codriver. and a suit. and a few other items....--Jay

I'll be there.
We just finished the car today, ready for the new season.
This should be a good chance to see if we meet all the new rules this year, and a fun shakedown for the DooWops ClubRally.

See you there,
Rick

If you need a suit, let me know. I can't make the sprint event.

ya sure ya betcha, love to borrow a suit, I think I can get a helmet from Derek. I don't suppose you know anyone with a trailer? Then I could take the motorhome down as the service rig and hotel room..

Jay, I'll drag my helmet along too just in case. I remember you said that you had a big head, and I know I had trouble fitting into Derek's helmets. (Matt you are forbidden to comment on the previous line)

Ok, I'm going, but I haven't been to Hoquiam in a million years. Is finding the sort yard basically driving to grays harbor till you get wet then reverse a bit or is it harder to find than that?
