Or maybe remind you how pointless the Regional Championships are right now. Or that you're only in 5th overall in the region. ;) Regional Championships matter for one thing, putting on paper, resume's, and for impressing non-rally friends, family, and sponsors. Oh and the tow fund or reduced entry for the CRNC. All three of which, you are on the way to.
Looking at last year PGT. So Jamie Thomas could have been the National Champion if she'd only entered the National Series since she beat Tanner regionally. No offense to Jamie. Don't know how she compares to Tanner honestly. And I kind of like that she beat him, since he shouldn't have even been there.

The competition they faced though getting those points were different since Tanner did more national events and Jamie did more regional events.

Well we will see the show down at Oregon.
Jamie is entered as a national competitor.

Tanner is undefeated this season so far so I see Jamie not beating Tanner.
The open class regional entrants keep growing. :-)

OT 2005....after 17 of 19 stages, Tanner was leading Jamie by 1:19. Hopefully all that drifting and living in So. Cal will give him that extra 3:41 plus minutes....

Erik,
Something I have learned in my years of rallying, and I am not sure how you continually fail to grasp the concept...
Championship winners and leaders are rarely the best driver, ESPECIALLY on the Regional level. It all comes down to who has the most money to enter as many point scoring events, and who has the smallest balls to drive so damn slow that they wait for attrition to put them ahead.
Do something impressive Erik, then come back and gloat about in on SS.

I fully understand that the points winner is the guy who has the most money.
I was laughing at the fact that I was the points leader.
My goal for the full year is to get faster. That is it.
Try to finish every event and push the entire rally.
I would like to be more competitive with Todd or Jason by the end of the year.

JC, there will always be a place in CO for a guy like you. Bring
that new car of yours out for a Hill Climb or Rally Sprint, we will
drink cheap beer, lie about how fast we are, and shoot bunnies.

That's correct, I forgot about all the extra seat time....He will beat Jamie by 8 minutes.

Those p-twon boys have been racing since before they could drink.
Erik, just keep improving, and that will prove all you need to. Running at the same speeds/consistency as Jason and Todd is something that I think you need lots of seat time to learn. Work on closing the gap, not being at the same level, and you will probably improve a lot quicker with that mentality.
rebecca

Todd you keep inviting people to come kill bunnies then those damn enviornmentalist will not only keep paving our roads, they will make you take your lawn and make it a bunny preserve. Then what would you do?
And JC, no offense on the balls, I carry mine in my purse and loan them out to guys like Erik when he drives like a ####, (erik that wasn't nice of me, but okay.)
Can't say the p word on SS.

it's far from new, but's it's a quick little sh*tbox. I cant wait to wad it into a ball.
Dont hate me cuz I'm a Wings fan tho. Heck, NHL hockey doesnt have any balls anymore either...
I am considering comin out to Steamboat fer dat rally.

Literally. Pre-event late night festivities at Todd and Jason's. 2 am drunken bunny shooting. Most predators out in this region have been wiped out, so things like prairie dogs and rabbits are severely overpopulated. We use to get paid in Wyoming to go shoot prairie dogs. Though it was a per death, and we usually drank too much beer and were too lazy to go collect them.

Drunken Bunny Shooting? What a country, America, I love it.

Only if Todd is shooting. Mark couldn't hit an elephant with his typical hiccups and terrible aim.

Maybe you can take those new race seats you are all getting for Todd and smack Erick over the head with them.

Are you too good for the hill climbs cause they don't like your cookie throwing temper tantrums?
Or maybe cause only a smart and intellgent driver would take advantage of the low dollar seat time?

If that were the case wouldn't everybody live at CORE? you could get the same mileage in at CORE as a HC in about 10-12 laps...
I still love going to HCs, just thought I'd chime in, its been a while since I posted around these parts (school sucks!).
rebecca
04-06-2006, 02:57 PM
True Mr. Hahn... but there are still few people at a time out at CORE, therefore, little compare your self against.
Has anybody even clocked a lap time out there yet? I know I tried to get a few of Mitch's times with my cell once but I can't even remember what they were.

The car has been running well enough lately that I think cookies are now safe in my presents.
I am looking forward to the hill climbs this year but will miss two events that are the same weekends as the rally america events.
I just hope Mike will be able to make it to them.

True, but you alluded to seat time, not cheap competition, picking nits there I know but, well, nits are fun to pick sometimes...

Anyway, I was supposed to be going out there with you all this Sunday with the camera and what not, turns out I will be working in Pueblo instead. Next weekend should be better (I always say that and it's never fully true anymore, what is funny is I used to have more time on my hands on Sundays than I knew what to do with...) if and when I make it out there I'll take a stop watch and a pad of paper, we'll get some sort of approximate times atleast....
Still trying to figure out which HCs I make and which I dont though :/

It was I believe just a bit past 2 minutes I think laps.
I hope Mike can make all the hill climbs. He's a good videographer.
Kevin - That's not funny.
I call mine, the naughty neighbor downstairs but you can call yours a dead bunny if you want.

2:13 or 2:38 is what I remember in my head. But honestly I know one lap was just a bit above 2.
Nit pickin Kevin... Dude, if I had a rally car I would be out at CORE every chance. $20 is cheap seat time. I think everybody has their excuses why they don't get out there every weekend. It is definetly a great testing facility.
Erik, memorize the road and you technically can put anyone with a helmet in the car. (bad co-driver, shouldn't have said that)
