The current CenDiv ClubRally standings can be found at:
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/teamyo/centdiv02.htm
If you have questions about what's posted, contact Jim Windsor at jim@webstratum.com
For 2002, there were 23 coefficients run in the Division. This means that you may count 15 coefficients toward the championship. Six of these may be from out-of-Division events...remember that it's your responsibility to see that Jim gets your out-of-Division results.
The top three finishers in each class will be invited to the ClubRally National Championship at the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood in February.

Bruce,
When does the 2002 season officially end?
I've heard two different theories
to this.
Thanks,

I am absolutely crushed by the results. This is the first year I haven't been in every single class result!! }>
Guess I need to get it together!

Bruce,
What is CenDiv's/SCCA's position on counting Canadian events? Is something like Tall Pines in Ontario which is also a Ontario Regional event in addition to a CARS National eligible towards CenDiv points?
Also, here's a hypothetical for you on a Friday afternoon: Do you have to count full coefficient value for events? For example if you had eight in-division cooefficients you wanted to use and two coefficient-three OOD events could you count one of the OOD events as a coefficent-two with reduced point value?

According to the Fastrack News thingy from a few months ago the
season ends in November & starts again December. Then again,
maybe I read this wrong.

You can count Canadian events if you clear it with your Division ClubRally Steward in advance. I need to know two things: What Coefficient is it, and how will you decide your place in class for points purposes? Production, for example, fits almost exactly with CARS rules, while other classes don't fit as well.
This is in the rulebook someplace.

No, you can't do that. You have to use full events.

I'd appreciate it if you could find where you saw that. Season used to end on Labor Day weekend, and was changed to calendar year. I don't remember anything about changing it again...although it's been suggested.

All right, it has been drawn to my attention that 2/3 of 23 is 15, not 13...I edited the original post to reflect this. I wasn't hired for my math or typing skills.
This was noticed by a DRIVER, no less...are all you codrivers asleep?
Bruce
hehe and when, other than in the those last 30 minutes, do co-drivers
care about Driver points?

Um...Ed, there's a codriver championship, too. Maybe if you co-drove in the same class for awhile...
Bruce
You sound like my friends. ;) Before the advent of course
notes I would have considered it a dubious honor at best,
but that's just me. The Rally Ho.
Besides, then I have to remember all the events I went to
where I was in Club. Especially the out of division
stuff like Rim or Black River or whatever. And then there's
the Canadian events... So many events, so little time.
I'm still annoyed I can enter both Pro and Club at the same time. And possibly win both. Seems foolish. But way too many drivers
get "that look" when I bad mouth this ability. Too many
trophy lovers. And the whole road position/condition argument.
sigh. Never mind.

i got a few quick questions. first, maybe i'm a bit confused by the rule book (don't have it in front of me) but I thought the rulebook said the events that go towards events were either the 6 best or 2/3 of the total number of coefficients run. maybe i'm just confusing that with the 6 coefficients may be out of division. which is correct? because with the first understanding, it would be 17 coefficients counting (5 c3's and 1 c2) versus the 15 (via the 2/3 method).
also, is there somewhere I can look at cendiv results online further back then the link you posted (which had 2000, 2001, and 2002)??? i'd also be interested to know how many coefficients were counted those years if possible... i'm trying to do some research for next years season
thanks.

I think you're confusing the old and the new. It's 2/3 of the coefficients...although the Steward can count a different number of OOD events if his/her Division has too few events. In CenDiv, it's 15...mostly because I say it is :-)

Not that I know of. We didn't have them online before that time...before that, the pointskeeper kept the spreadsheet on a piece of PAPER fergoshsakes.
Prior to 2002, we didn't count coefficients, we counted events...2/3 of the total EVENTS run...of which two EVENTS could be out-of-division. The change to coefficients was to make Coefficient 1 events - which are a LOT easier to put on for beginners - more viable. Nobody would have gone OOD to the Hallett Triples - three C1 events - under the old scheme, but with the new one, they count the same as a C3.

thank you for the clarification...
i take it the # of coefficients for our division will stay around the 13-15 mark (pending no major event changes), right?
thanks again bruce

The events that I'm pretty sure will happen I put on the ClubRally calendar on SCCA.ORG...although I'm not sure where Ottawa and Keweenaw went. The three Pro events will have five coefficients of ClubRally each. Headwaters will be a C3...which makes 18 total if my math is correct. See my other posting for the events I THINK might happen.
