the next LoL rallycross will be held at the donovan motorsports complex on sunday september 8. the schedule will be similar to past LoL events w/registration from 10 AM to 11:30 w/meeting at 11:30 and runs starting as close to 12:00 as possible. i am planning on having a videocamera set up that will tape everyone we only need volunteers to run it. more cameras would be cool so we could edit a nice tape together. since you never get to see yourself run and the only way to see your car is to let someone else drive it. this tape will be available to anyone willing to provide a blank tape and a prepaid method of shipping or be willing to wait 'till the next event for their tape.
we will have a food stand again w/cheap food pop and water available.
as well as an outhouse.
we will not be watering the track down though. in light of the last event i think everyone will agree on this and live w/the dust. we will have water available for washing though. nothing like a good towel shower after a day in the dust.

see you all in bemidgii,
greg

DIRECTIONS:
from the north
travel s. on hwy 52 through rochester and exit onto hwy 63 south then
after .8 mi. on 63 take a right onto 40th street south. go 4.8 mi.
on 40th (you will cross Bamber Valley Road at 2.8 mi.) and then take
a left onto 60th ave s. the farm is .3 mi. on your right. this is
where you can park your trucks and trailers. the site is about .3 mi
after the driveway to the farm and is the second gravel access road
into the woods on your right after crossing the bridge. there will
be signs as you get closer to the farm.

from the south
the same except you will take 63 n and take a left onto 40th rather
than a right.

Woohoo! I loved the last one!

Is the track layout going to be the same? Best run of the day or an average of times???

I think the water at Arkansaw (last event) was a good idea, I just think he put 1 or 2 tanks too many on the course.

and live
>w/the dust.

I'll still be excitedly awaiting another awesome event at Donovan's, your family goes WAY beyond the call of duty to make this such an enjoyable venue.

Jim - I agree with you 100% about the water. 1 or 2 passes too many.
A little water applied a couple of times would be ideal, at least to me. Just enough to keep the dust down, but not so much that it turns into Jello brand Chocolate Pudding.

After the rallyx yesterday, with all the dust I inhaled I'm starting to get worried about Brown Lung disease.

Is this Rally-X sponsored by SCCA or is this an independent function. I ask because i cannot find this even on the schedule.

hey shifty did you know you can edit your posts after you make them so things like that will go away and no one will know. this event was on the schedule but the site was not chosen untill recently.
unfortunately the donovan motorsports website has yet to be updated since the webmaster (my brother richard) has been working 70hrs a week for the hiway dept. and was in bemidji all last weekend.
thanks
greg

You can do it, Jesse, just drink lots and lots of water. And don't pee for a week. Or longer.

Does anyone have a copy of the rules or a link to the RallyCross rules i could look at. I know the cars have to be a hard top. But can the car have a moon roof or does it need to have steel welded in?
I am buying a new car and i want to make sure i can at least Rally-X it sometimes.

Thanks
Scott

Also, for rallycross you can have a sunroof or moonroof or whatnot.

Okay, how about a self-watering track? Just run us into the creek for a short stretch, then the cars will drip fresh water onto the track with each pass! You 2wd guys/gals don't have any problems with this idea right?

it is about 1-1.5 hours from bloomington to our farm depending on how fast you drive.
