What's the schedule? I have a long drive to get there, so I need to plan accordingly.

Registration will start at 10:00 am. Timed runs will start as soon as we can but not before 11:00 am. We will get as many runs as the majority of the competitors want but we will not run later than 5:00. This event will be scored like an autocross (your best run counts, the rest are practice). Please post or e-mail any other questions regarding the event.

Does anyone have a car I could drive? Preferably not sitting on its side with no parts attached like mine! :)

Yay! I can't wait! I got used Michelin M4s mounted, no more running with three Blizzaks and one Bridgstone!

I also have my ClubRally co-driver prospect coming along. I had better get faster times than him or else I'll be the co-driver!:D

Is this Saturday or Sunday? Isn't there a RallySprint or Coef 1 on Saturday? Anybody know the schedule for THAT? As usual; I'm very confused!

Will MacD: if I'm there; you may drive Speedy... but just don't break anything we'll need at Maine! Now, aren't you glad you're crewing for us? I was planning to go on Saturday but not Sunday... since I really am clueless as to what is going on I have no idea what I'm really doing!

The car needs the rollcage finished, that's why all the parts are off. The bottom needs some repairing (it is an old Volvo, after all) and I don't have a hoist so I started lifting the left side with a big come-a-long and sliding the right side to the left as it tipped up. 90 minutes later I had a car on its side in the garage (talk about slow roll). Its not actually just laying on its side, I have it supported by the nifty jack points and the main hoop of the future roll cage.

Just got home from the RallySprint and if you are coming on Sunday for the RallyCross, be warned, there is a detour. here are the directions from the web page of the host facility. This is assuming you are coming from Mpls.

From Minneapolis/St. Paul:
Take US Hwy 10 East to the WI Pierce/Pepin county line (approx. 4 miles east of Plum City). Turn right. Follow that about 2 miles to "Sunny Brook Rd". Follow that down hill and continue on that to "D". Turn right at stop sign. At next stop sign turn left (still "D"). At top of hill turn right - continue on "D". Track is 3/4 mile after turn at top of hill on "D". There are "MX" signs on Highway 10 and at each turn. You could follow "Detour" signs, but this saves you quite a few miles.

You can also just check the web page yourself at;

Thanks to all who helped setup and run the RallyX. I had a great time. While the first runs were a sloppy, the later runs more than made up for it. My times went from something around 1 minute down to about half a minute once it firmed up.

It chokes me up to say that my buddy TJ outran me by about a second in my own damn car.(sniff...sniff) I guess I'll have to let him drive a few times once we get set for ClubRally;-)

This was my first rally of any kind. I have wanted to drive cars since I was a kid, and I finally had my chance. Thanks to CRAZY Karl for letting me drive the GTI. It was surprising to say the least that I did as well as I did.

Thanks to all the people that I met at Dog Daze. I thought it was a very cool atmosphere. I expected it to be much more competative and intenense. I hopefully will be taking some still images from the video we took at the race, so if anyone would like some shots of themselves going around the track, let me know and I will do my best to get them to you. See you at future events.
