There was also a rallycross near White Heath, IL yeaterday, A very well run and fun event.

The event was organized by Pete Gossett, at a quarry site procured by Paul Dunn. Many others helped with the site and event, if anyone can name - names, please do.

The course was loose dirt, an out & back run with a 180deg. turn around. Four (about 1minute)runs for approx. 40 entries.

I was there representing Audi. :7 It was a very good time, but the organizers could have turned the heat down a little.

Pics have been posted here: http://www.execpc.com/~pbedard/rallyx/
and here: http://smash.yermother.com/rallycross/

I'm really sunburned.

Thanks for the compliment!

I think we'll look into holding the next event after(90-degrees + humidity + dust = one long, cold shower). Besides, after harvest, we may be able to gain access to some of the adjacent field.

We had a total of 36 drivers, which was about perfect for our first event. The results are now posted on the website:

http://www.geocities.com/il_rally_info/index.html

And the one other name that need mentioned is Mike McCue. He's the one who spurred us into actually getting the event organized, as well as the person responsible for bringing out all the Subaru folk, and creating/updating the website.

Thanks to everyone who made it out, hopefully we can try this again...soon!

Shouldn't that be "RallyCross Chair?"

Good job, Pete et. al.
