Jesse,

It seems you folks have quite a few entries! Are there enough that we know it won't be nixed? I hope not... I'm looking forward to being there.

Matt.

I'm not really involved with the event, but since we ran (I worked a start/finish control) Arkansaw Tundra last December with just 5 entries, the 16 that were entered as of last week should be enough.

The registrar tells me it's way over the minimum...no worries about cancellation.

So...uh...what did I miss in Wisconsin this past weekend? Anything?

You missed a damned fine day on Saturday and a whole load of crap on Sunday. I couldn't tell you which was more fun. :)

Jesse has posted some pics of the sprint and the rallycross. And yes, these events occured on consecutive days.

Hmmmm....
looking at Jesse's Sunday pics one has to wonder how camping was Saturday night. As I'm in transfer mode of one sales job to another I had to stay at home to keep finances in line to do work Headwaters. Aaaargh... I would've had a blast now that everything's been fixed on the Mazda 323. BTW, it turned over to 237,000 this weekend and the engine's stronger than ever. Next rallycross......!

There! That's what I'm looking for! We need to update the points page on our website, and I would like to know how far I am behind Jim Cox!

Jerry B.:
I didn't see the results, but based on 2nd hand info., Production results were:
1) David Johnson
2) Jim Cox
3) Shannon Johnson
4) Micheal Merbach
CENDIV Production class should be another good battle this year (last year went down to the last event with 3 possible winners). Merbach looks to be running a full schedule (already registered for Headwaters). Johnsons are running again and looking strong. Also, I'd guess Seppanen will show up for at least the MN Coef 3 events and beat us all. If you are also runing P-class for the rest of the year, that makes 5 contenders! Should be fun.

Jerry W.:
Camping was COLD! I'd guess temps may have hit the 20s. There was frost on the ground Sunday AM and we got 5-6" of snow during the day. Jarvey's/Faber's were the only other campers, but they had a furnace, so they don't count ; )

Organizers:
Thanks! We had big fun both days. I really enjoyed both courses.

I won't be running Headwaters, but I hope to be back on my feet by Ojibwe. I may also run a Canadian event as an out-of-division event. My struts are being rebuilt as we speak, and I just got my new high-flow cat yesterday. :)

Expect to see me at:
Ojibwe
Magnum Opus
LSPR
Maybe the remaining Arkansaw events
Maybe Tarmac Express

Looks like this will be a Club-only year for me. Still haven't started fixing the G5 car from LSPR last year.

The TaxBrake RallyCross was my first adventure into rally. I drove the red GTI. The conditions were horrible, but I had a great time.

I can't wait until I get my car far enough along to enter a RallySprint. I feel like I'm getting hooked.

Didn't you win the thing?

Yep. I had no idea that was going to happen. Cool though! :D

The 2WD cars had the advantage by going first. The course became really sloppy as time went on.

Greg Donovan

not that much of an advantage though because utecht set the second fastast time and he was the last car/truck to run. when i drove out from cone picking it felt about the same as it did on my third run. jim had the day figured out w/the truck and i think if he had one more run he would lave got the tire pressure perfect and broke into the top ten.

Yeah! That's the excuse I'm going with, anyway!
