The early entry deadline has passed, and a big congratulation goes to the winner of the free entry to the event. With only three confirmed early entries, the odds of winning were much better than they should have been, but someone still had to come out on top. So ? Kris and Jaclyn Schofield benefit from the smile of Lady Luck and win the early entry Free ride for the event.

We are accepting entries right up to the registration time of 12:00 Saturday October 4th , but to help us make the event run smoother PLEASE pre-register or at least let me know that you are planning to compete. (It?d be nice to know how many cars we have both for making route books and for planning check pointer movements)

The Loop is one of the longest running rallies in Canada, and this year we are using roads we haven?t used in quite a while. You?ll see about 357 Km of regularity sections and 128Km of transit sections. I don?t have the road surface breakdown, but the gravel content is probably over 80% overall, and over 90% on regularities.

There is a gas / food stop in Drumheller. At the end of Leg 1 which is at about 225Km into the event.

TSD is a great way to get out and learn a bit more about rallying, learn how to work with a co-driver, and simply enjoy a good drive in the country.

Novice Primer !
For people who want to give TSD a try, we are offering a FREE novice primer at 11:00 AM at the clubhouse. In the hour we will cover everything you need to know about TSD, and didn?t know to ask. From road priorities, to basic formulas we?ll give you the tools we need to successfully compete in your first event.

What you need!
- roadworthy car
- battery operated calculator
- pens/pencils
- map light (?head? lamps work well for this)

Sorry, Keith. Ken Carroll will not be coming this time. He had planned to come, but we've had some problems that rule it out this time. :-(
