I have an 88 red (Zinnerot) for sale. The car is located
in San Jose, about 5x hours north of LA. and 1 hour south of San Francisco. It has 225k miles on it, but it
has been very well maintained (see below). The car has been repainted and I
donít think they did a great job. The clear coat has flaked off on a few
spots on the right rear quarter panel as well as some small spots on the hood and fenders. The wing and mirrors were not repainted with the car and both have cracks/faded spots in the paint. The front bumper was also not reinstalled correctly and is not completely tight. I am sure this is remedied with a few dollars in plastic clips from the dealer and a little work. The windshield is also cracked and should be replaced. The back seat looks like
new. The front seats are new. (I also have the original seats and will include them for an additional $200. The passenger seat is great, the driver has a ripped bolster). One of the tires is new, the other 3 should be replaced very soon. All lights, levers, buttons, and knobs work (including the sunroof). The radio powers on, but doesnít accept the code that I have for it. It is believed to be working fine along with the factory amp in the trunk. The carpet is nearly perfect, not torn, ripped, nor stained anywhere. The dash is also perfect. All door cards and other interior parts are in great shape. Although this car has always been in California, there is some rust under the windshield on the drivers side. I have a very close-up picture at the link below. There is no other rust on the car. The carfax is completely clean, no accidents, clean title, ect.
I had bought this to be a project/track car which is why I didnít care too much about the paint. Turns out that the car was in better shape than I planned so I wasnít crazy about tearing it apart. I
ended up finding another car with a bad motor, roof dents, and a buckled strut tower so it was much better suited
for my project.(NOTE THAT THE ABOVE PROBLEMS ARE NOT ON THE CAR FOR SALE, PLEASE RE-READ THE ABOVE CAREFULLY) I have only driven this car about 800 miles since buying it
last year ( this is verified when you pull the carfax). I just dont need two M3's plus my other toys. Here is a list of
parts and maintenance.
There are 42 photos at the following location. These are all 2megapixel pics so they should not be downloaded on a 56k connection. http://s77.photobucket.com/albums/j63/rallyguy/
